We need your help to keep this amazing project going
The Mono Box is a vibrant, welcoming community dedicated to continuous actor training: acting in the broadest terms; stage, screen, improvisation, dance, mindfulness and anything else related.
Its power is its connection to leading practitioners with unique skills to offer and knowledge to share. Everyone is welcome to The Mono Box - whatever their age, background, whether they have trained or not. It is a safe space where anyone can work on their craft and feel a part of something greater than themselves.
By responding to the needs of the people it helps, The Mono Box is full of passion, honesty and possibility.
Over the last 7 years The Mono Box has:
Welcomed over 5000 actors through its doors
Created a dialogue between the professional world and those who are emerging into it
Provided a support network, a safe space and a community
ALL WITH NO FUNDING.
A NEW HOME
After losing our space in the wake of Covid-19, we need a new space to continue developing our diverse and unique programme, to meet the demands of our members and allow maximum learning and immersion in continual training.
Can you help us raise funds to continue our work?

SPONSOR OUR NEXT PROJECTS:
The organisation is now at a pivotal stage and to keep up with the demand for our facilities we need support from other theatre makers and professionals, who care about the future of theatre too.
SUPPORT NEW PLAYWRIGHTS
We wish to extend our work and open our facilities to encompass more aspects of the industry. Off the back of our inaugural new writing project, PLAYSTART, we will be launching a playwriting award with Samuel French and hope to establish The Mono Box as a supportive space for writers from all backgrounds and trainings to flourish.
Can you help a new, emerging playwright by supporting this project?
DIVERSITY and AFFORDABILITY
We believe that theatre should be reflective of the diverse people that make up Great Britain. We want to ensure that the opportunities we offer are truly inclusive to all artists from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Further funding will enable us to keep our programme accessible and affordable.
Can you help us reduce our outgoings by contributing to the cost of our workshops or facilitators?
THE MONO BOX PODCAST
This year saw the introduction to The Mono Box Podcast: a record of twelve well-loved, professional actors, to include Sir Derek Jacobi discussing their careers, favourite plays and sharing advice. Adding this archive of conversations to our website will enable us to broaden our reach to theatre-makers out of London and share the ethos of the community we’re making in London.
Can you help The Mono Box by sponsoring the podcast to continue?
SPREAD THE WORD THAT WE NEED HELP
If you couldn't live without The Mono Box help us and shout about the fact that we need some help - shout it from the rooftops!
Tell your parents, family and friends, co-workers and bosses that we are in need of space and money and who knows you might stumble across a millionaire and you could be our saviour!
Download the info above and email it out to your networks or pass on the video (above and right) and use the #MonoBoxHelpsMe on Twitter. Every little helps.
